Palm has released a <a href="http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/64mb_backup_other.html">64MB Backup Card Plus Update</a> to fix compatibility issues between the card and the Zire 71 and Tungsten series handhelds.
This update addresses an incompatibility discovered between the 64 MB Backup Card Plus and Zire 71 and Tungsten Series handhelds. The incompatibility creates a condition where backed-up data cannot be restored.
This update replaces key application files on the 64 MB Backup Card Plus and cannot be reversed once applied. However, the update will not delete nor modify any previously backed-up data on the card.
Once the update is complete, the backup data on the card can be successfully restored, and successive backups can be restored without issue.
