A SPUG exclusive preview
The Sony Clie PEG-N700C has been a hot topic on the SPUG forums ever since its launch in Japan. Pronounced "KLEE-AY", its sleek matt silver casing, attractive specifications and screen resolution has generated much interest among Palm users here.
The N700C was designed for the Japanese market. As such, the Palm OS is in Japanese i.e. the menus and the pre-installed software are in Japanese (Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana). However, there are several hacks (written by enterprising developers) that can change most application menus to English. While we await the arrival of the PEG-N710C (English version) , let's take a look at what you can expect from the Clie.
