2nd Upgrade
2 months after Sam Wong and his brother first helped SPUG with the first upgrade session, the 2nd upgrade (http://www.spug.net/announce2.htm) session saw almost 200 upgraders. The logistics to plan the time slots for the people who signed up was quite complicated. Fred Tan was again swamped with emails and there were some hiccups with some people who may not have gotten get their email replies. Things worked out fine at the end though, and a few of the SPUGers managed to have hands-on training in the art of hairdrying the Palm and opening the casing (not really an easy skill!) Too bad I didn't quite catch the four (?) resistors that were supposed to moved on the circuit board, or else I'd have known how to upgrade too! LOL!
3rd Upgrade
The 3rd Upgrade in late January 2000 saw more 248 Palms being upgraded. Hope you guys had fun! Again, thanks to Fred for organising this. You can still view the photos and videos from the first upgrade here (http://www.spug.net/reviews/rupgrade.htm). <HR>
