Palm Treo 800w Details Leaked: WM6, Wi-Fi, EV-DO Rev. A

Our Sprint source gave us a great tip on the upcoming Treo 800w that's coming Q4 2007. (That's not a picture of it on the left.)

Lots and lots of improvements for Sprint users over what they can get right now with the 700wx, including EV-DO REV A., Windows Mobile 6, a 320x320 display (now supported on WM6), 256MB flash, 128MB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and an expansion slot.

The big ones are of course Windows Mobile 6, the increased speed of EV-DO Rev. A, Wi-Fi, and that larger screen resolution. The 320x320 resolution is square, yes, but nothing that Treo fans haven't gotten used to already. Plus, it's the first phone announced to support the 320x320 resolution that WM6 offers.

Sprint's aiming at a Q4 2007 release, but we'll see whether the phone's pushed up or back in the coming months. – Jason Chen

Sama sama here.

Might as well tell Palm to merge TX and Treo together! Sure people will buy!

If it is in Treo750 form factor will be nice.

A killer device will be one with 320X240 screen with keyboard -think Benq-Siemen P50/P51.. That will be real nice with Palm customisation to WM6!

Finally with Wifi, but they should make treo lighter and silmer. the design is getting old.

the device must reduce weight also.

Wonder whether Palm will launch a GSM version of it?

Maybe it will be called Treo 850. Not surprised that they will omit 3G video call again for the next one..

My current mobile Sony Ericsson has 3G mobile but I have never used it - in fact I am very careful not to use it accidentally - needly cost.

for video, pricing wise,it's the same as making a voice call. if not on broardband plan on mobile then it's best to have data monitoring software to ensure u don't exceed the amount of data u willing to pay.

Generally it's around $4 per MB.

don't really need to launch a GSM version of it.. just make sure we can manual select 2G /3G or 3G/ HSDPA.
