Hmmm... that's not the first time he's done that. I clearly remember the Belgian Grand Prix back in 1998 when he crashed into the back of David Coulthard's McLaren, losing a front wheel. Michael still managed to drive back into the pits on 3 wheels in heavy rain.

But what made the race so memorable were two incidents:

    - the massive shunt at the start of the race where more than 10 cars were damaged (can't remember the exact figure, but the shunt was very spectucular indeed)

    - after Michael drove back into the pits, he got out of the car, stormed off to the McLaren pits and almost got into a fight with Coulthard. Both of them had to be restrained by their team personnel.

Schuey is the greatest thing to have happened to F1 since sliced bread. Whether you love him or hate him, we are privileged to be witnesses to legend in the making.

I supported him when he was a young punk in a highly illegal Benneton - UCB was all the rage back then, and (shamefully) I collected UCB gear (they made very cute small/miniature bags!) back then, so to support their driver was only natural ... so, you'll have to forgive me if I think Schuey is simply the best there is, today

I think the above occured at the hairpin right?

Then there was another I think after the bad crash of the Minardi the official was waving this yellow flag and it fell out of his hand...

Then a few minutes before Schuey crashed a shot of the Ferrari pit, this engineer was sleeping and the guy behind him whacked his head to remind him he's on air...

I didnt see the part where Michael had a fight with Coulthard though... cant imagine why... even if he were looking for someone to blame, Montoya's the closest punching bag.

Also, personally I thought Sato should be smacked over the top of his head hard man... that guy is just reckless, from the way he starts... to the way he ran the car 2 laps on a blown engine spewing smoke, cmon... the team leader shoulda called him back before he blow that smokescreen which cause the pileup. Luckily Fisichella wasnt hurt, if that were 2 years ago in the flimsy chassis, he woulda killed somebody with his stunt.

Doc, I'm sure loads of Ayrton Senna fans will disagree with you on this...

I am with Dr Chiam on this. While I agree that Senna is up there in the top 5 together with Mansell, Prost and perhaps even Lauda(?).

I do concede that Senna has more flair in his driving style which makes him more entertaining to watch. Perhaps Montoya is the modern day Senna. Both drivers are like cowboys with guns ablazing without a regard for other driver's safety, which I feel is technically legal but bad etiquette.

Statistics-wise, we have to give Schumacher credit for no one has won more championship, victories and pole positions than he. That and that alone. Schumacher is king. Period.

If you ask me, I think Schumacher is better than Senna for the simple fact that the latter got himself killed.

Senna still holds the title of most pole positions achieved. He had 65 compared to Schumacher who has 59. But Schumacher will most likely break that record before his contract with Ferrari ends in 2006.

Based on the case presented to the Italian court, the investigations that were carried out concluded that the main cause of Senna's death was the breakage of the steering column in his Williams. This is probably what caused the car to go straight into the barriers at the Tamburello curve at Imola. However, the reasons for his death is still a subject of debate and it's abound with conspiracy theories. Read more about it at www.ayrton-senna.com/s-files

Schumi IS the greatest F1 driver ever...his achievements speak for themselves...and what's more, his career is not even done yet.

He's like what Jordan is to basketball, and Nicklaus is to golf. Sorry, Tiger hasn't proved himself to be THAT great yet. The potential and signs are there, but whether he eventually fulfill them, still to be seen. That's an awful slump he's still in...

'Something was going on' between Michael and Juan Pablo.

In the end, they crashed behind the Safety Car in the dimly lit Tunnel.

Monaco winner Jarno Trulli thought it might be so...

"I tried to keep my distance from them," said the Italian.

"Montoya wasn't leaving any space between himself and the Ferrari. They were really fast down to Mirabeau. I thought 'maybe they're going to crash'."

    They did, of course.

Schumacher, furious, spent a lot of time in an engineers' briefing after the incident and when he appeared, he thought hard before calling Juan 'silly.

"As you say in English, sh.it happens," the German added.

    Right.

When MS brakes hard and gets hit from behind, it is JPM's fault.

When MS can't stop in time, it is DC's fault.

Yes! I saw the 3 easter eggs that you saw too. The commentator said, 'he's not lazy, he's just very tired.' Man, this is awesome, I didn't know you could run F1 cars on street roads, my eyes nearly popped out when I imagine how the scenery would have looked if it were replaced by the straight of Orchard Road, zooming past Raffles City, turning right to Shenton way etc, all that in 1min...

My goodness, Sato walked in such a cocky manner after the crash, he seems to be quite happy overtaking and hitting other people's wheels... they should have stopped after the engine can be seen to be dying out...

You are right about that stat. I kinda jumped the gun a little. Oops!

Anyway, I found this little software for Palm, it's like the F1 version of the Bundesliga software.

    Check it out at
