[Singapore] Gadget Clubs

You know, when you purchase a gadget say a camcorder the manufacturer will invited you to sign up for their club as member to enjoy some discounts or product launches etc...

I bought this camcorder some time back and received a call from this CSO, asking me if I am keen to renew. It's kinda weird cos when I signed up for the club members, they never responded back to me so I assumed nothing is being done. And now 1 year later, asked me to renew by paying a 'small' fee to continue. Weird leh.

Anyway, I realised there are quite a handful of clubs from mobilephones to electronic devices...

If they never send u membership card, and now ask to renew, tell them they never send membership card, and ask for free extension... you never know

Sony club better... extend warranty for all your sony products... but the famed service center quality... oh well
