Hi fellow spuggers.. haven't been around for quite a while but need a lit'l bit of help based on past experiences etc...
I had this NGAGE mobile phone which suddenly blacked out on me sometime last year while still under warranty. I sent it to the service centre and to cut a long story short, they refused to fix it and even went on to say that my phone has been tampered with, as it has a bloated PCB (due to what I've no idea, how does one bloat the PCB?). I went to appeal the case with them, and even gave in a statement saying that I've not tampered with the phone etcetc. but to no avail.
Later I went to CASE, brought up my case to them and sought assistance. CASE was able to help me, somewhat, but the other party is still playing hardball, to the extent that when I asked about having all the seals on the phone in place (and thus proof that my phone is not tampered with outside of Nokia), they said that anybody could have those stickers etcetc... They're essentially beating around the bush and trying to skirt the issue at hand.
Now it's almost been one year, and CASE has advised to go to the Small Claims Tribunal before that one year expires. Has anyone had experience there? Where do I stand legally? Please advise!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

If I'm not wrong, the Nokia service centre is outsourced so its the service company that's playing punk with you. Nokia would be out of their minds to go through such lengths to avoid such simple warranty claims. Write in direct to Nokia head office.

If the issue had indeed been escalated to the upper echelons in Nokia Asia, then I guess no choice but to go SCT.

I'd try the papers before SCT. ST, Today, Mypaper - anything.
no use one.. go directly to SCT. i feel that case see very low confidence of winning therefore arrow him to SCT. but since is 1 to 1, it is really up to reaction to turn the story to his favor.
1 to 1 is really more to his favor becos the other party may not be clear wat it is all about. and therefore concede position. since ngage is a old fone, sue for $$ lor.

hi, thanks for all the replys thus far. CASE has been helping me as far as they can, but with the other party practically ignoring us, there's really nothing CASE can do. In fact, I feel that CASE has already been very helpful and really being the voice of the consumer. My apologies if my tone with regard to CASE seems otherwise, but they have been doing their best.
i have in fact even spoken to someone inside their head office at Alexandra Technopark, courtesy of help from CASE, but same story. they refuse to budge.
So in this case how are my chances should I bring this up to the SCT?
